Service Description

Weekly guided exercises designed to get your creativity flowing through a variety of media including sketching, watercolor, drawing, and collage. If you are 65 or over and curious about unlocking YOUR creative ideas with mixed media journaling, with or without prior art experience, this class is for you! Join Art Barn School of Art instructor and Art Within Reach alumna Leslie Cefali at Portage Library for a 6-week class focused on the practice and joy of keeping a creative journal. Topics will include travel, direct observation, pattern/texture, and more! All supplies included, though participants should plan on bringing a pencil box/other small storage case for supplies, and plenty of enthusiasm! This class is FREE, but prior registration is required as spaces are limited. Free bus transportation for Art Within Reach students is available through Porter County Aging and Community Services. Please just let us know on the registration form if you would like more information. This program is presented in partnership with Porter County Public Library System.
