Service Description

Anyone can enjoy the experience of creating beautiful oil paintings; if you can write... you can paint! Learn the basics of oil painting in this 8-week class with instructor Susan Young in a fun, engaging class that uses a step-by-step method at a relaxed pace. Susan will take you through handling the unique properties of oil paint, color mixing, planning a composition, and choosing subjects from landscapes to florals. A basic paint palette, palette knives, and solvent will be provided; students will be sent a supply list prior to the start of class, and will have a chance to try out different brushes before purchasing their own. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced. Ages 18+
